David Shadwell joins Wbg leadership team as UK Head of Business Advisory Services

Wbg, a leading independent specialist full-service accountancy firm, has appointed David Shadwell as Head of Business Advisory Services.

With offices across the UK, Shadwell who will be based in Edinburgh, brings a wealth of experience helping founders and leadership teams turn financial data into strategic growth through driving digital transformation to create competitive advantage, strategy consulting, team leadership and upskilling.

With its aim to be one of the UK’s leading specialist professional services firms and a plan to achieve £50m fee income in five years, Wbg is committing significant investment in people and technology to enhance its resource and service market demand.

The team has recently recruited record levels of graduates and plans to open a further two new offices across the UK by the end of Q2 2026.

Commenting on his appointment, Shadwell said: “What resonated with me about Wbg was not just the open-mindedness and innovative thinking of its leadership team, but its evident determination to realise its strategic vision, and I felt I could make a meaningful contribution towards bringing that vision to fruition.”

Wbg currently has 180 employees operating across a six-office network with a fee income of £16 million this year serving 10,000 clients across the UK across multi sectors.
