Wbg has invested significantly in creating opportunities for the next generation of accountants and business advisors by appointing 14 trainees.

The trainees comprise 11 graduate trainees, two school leaver/graduate apprentices, and one intern – across its external audit, internal audit, business advisory and marketing teams.

Additionally, the firm has supported 10 work experience placements this year and, recognising that university isn’t the only route into a successful career into professional services, recently launched a pilot school leaver/graduate apprentice programme in partnership with ICAS and Robert Gordon University.

Victoria Kirkhope, Partner – Head of People & Culture at Wbg, said its ongoing investment in the next generation is aimed at our continual commitment to providing them with valuable opportunities and supporting quality career development.

“With an emphasis on a skills-based mindset and recruiting for potential, we have committed significant investment into the creation of an environment where people can chart their own career journeys,” she said.

“Our commitment to early-stage training and continuous professional development is helping us lay out clear, transparent career paths for everyone in the business.

“At Wbg trainees will find the support, opportunities and culture to unlock their full potential and shape the future of becoming one of the UK’s leading professional services firms. We’re very excited about the future and the talented individuals that will help us deliver what comes next.”
