In addition to our core services, we have designed a package of free of charge services for our charity clients which include:
- Our annual charity seminar, which gives a comprehensive update on accounting, legal and regularity changes in the sector. The seminar is normally run in Edinburgh and Glasgow (but moved online in 2020 as a result of the pandemic) and the content is chosen to ensure you are aware of any forthcoming changes. In recent years topics have included the Charities SORP, Setting Reserves Policies, Non-Financial Support for Charities, The Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector, Gift Aid, Charity Investments as well as an annual legal update. In addition, OSCR attend each year to give an update from the regulators’ perspective.
- Our charity finance workshops; a half days training course designed to help non-accountants understand accounts and those accounting concepts peculiar to charities.
- Regular newsletters and updates, keeping you informed on changes in the sector.
